After many years of dedicated service and friendship, John Seay of State Systems is retiring, and we cannot let this moment pass without celebrating a man who has meant so much to this community.
John has served on the MRA board for a very long time, and through all those years he has been a constant champion of Memphis restaurants. He has given his time, his leadership, and his heart to this organization, and the MRA is stronger today because of his service.
Anyone who has ever crossed paths with John knows exactly what makes him special.
He is a man of unwavering faith and quite possibly the most extroverted extrovert you will ever meet. He has never met a stranger, and he has a gift for making every person in the room feel welcomed and valued. That warmth and generosity of spirit have touched every corner of the Memphis hospitality community, and we are all richer for it.
John, from all of us in the Memphis restaurant community: thank you for your years of service, your friendship, and your heart. Happy retirement. You have more than earned it.
